Speaking

Dear Friends,

In the last 4 years I have repeatedly witnessed the power of gathering women together around a craft. Something special happens when we engage our creativity in groups. Intimacy is developed in a way that cannot simply be accomplished by ice breakers and discussion questions. Messes with a Message consist of a short devotion, craft supplies and instruction, and additional time for discussion at tables or sharing with the larger gathering. This is a great way to foster growth and unity within a group.

I have listed some options below, but am open to tailoring something specific for your group, as well. I am currently waiving speaking fees in exchange for honest feedback and recommendations for the program by participants, so prices listed are only for the craft portion.

Blessings to you as you invest in the development of gospel-centered relationships in your organization!

In Him,

Liz

ROCKS OF REMEMBRANCE

20 minute devotional

60+ minutes crafting

$25 per person with bowl ($15 per person without bowl)

This project is appropriate for both adults and families.

Devotion: By delving into the deeper meanings behind God’s command to Joshua to set up 12 stones on the banks of the Jordan river after the Israelites safe crossing into the promised land, Liz will help participants understand why a tangible reminder of God’s faithfulness is so crucial for us even today.

Craft: The craft will consist of stones on which the participants will write, draw and/or place vinyl stickers to remind them of what God has already accomplished in their lives. Discussion at tables will be encouraged so ladies can share what He has done for them. All supplies will be provided for the craft based on RSVP’s 7 days prior to the scheduled date of the event.

Key Verse: Joshua 4:9 “Joshua set up the twelve stones that had been in the middle of the Jordan at the spot where the press who carried the ark of the covenant had stood. And they are there to this day.”

UNIVERSAL AND PERSONAL

20 minute devotion

60-90 minutes crafting

$10 per box

This project is appropriate for both adults and families.

Devotion: This devotion will cover both the universality of the cross to cover the sins of all the world as well as it’s deeply personal nature to save individuals. After crafting, testimonials can be shared, if appropriate.

Craft: Participants will decorate cross shaped boxes painted in a variety of colors with paint, stamps, ink, artificial flowers, ribbons, jewels, stickers and more to create a one of a kind cross for their home. Optional item includes a Holy Week activity (Quest for the Cross) with verses to place in the box each day. All items supplied based on RSVP’s 7 days prior to the event.

Key Verse: “For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.” (John 3:16)

ADORNING THE TEMPLE

20 minutes devotion

45-60 minutes craft

Necklace $17, Bracelete $12

This craft is specifically for adult and youth women.

Devotion: We are the temple of God. His Spirit lives within each of us as believers. Fashions and fads come and go, but the beauty that comes from within is eternal. Women will be encouraged to tap into the true source of our beauty and the importance of sourcing our worth through Christ, not by the world.

Craft: Participants will create either a bracelet or a necklace using the stones specifically selected to represent those mentioned in Revelation 21:19. This jewelry will serve as a reminder of where their beauty truly comes from each time they latch it around their wrist or neck.

Key Verse: “Your beauty should not come from outward adornment such as elaborate hairstyles and the wearing of gold jewelry or fine clothes. Rather it should be that of your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet Spirit which is of great worth in God’s sight.” 1 Peter 3:3-4

BEAUTIFUL FEET

20 minute devotion

45 minute craft

$10 per scrub

Devotion: Who doesn’t love a little foot pampering? Believe it or not, even the bible has something to say about making our feet beautiful! Women will be encouraged to share the gospel with others through the lens of their own personal stories. Each of our lives are meant to glorify God, no matter what we have been through, that story can be used to proclaim His glory to others.

Craft: Participants will make a small tub of foot scrub with a cute label. They can either use the scrub themselves or give it as a gift to open doors for sharing the good news with someone else!

Key Verse: “And how can anyone preach unless they are sent? As it is written; How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!” Romans 10:15
