What special skills and abilities has God given you? How did you discover them? How are you using them to serve His creation?

God has given me many special skills and abilities that have helped me as a chiropractor. Some of the more important skills are empathy, strong communication skills, good manual coordination, an ability to put people at ease, and a sense of purpose.

How do you ensure that you always give God the glory in your vocation?

I start each day with a simple prayer. I ask God to bless the works of my hands and to send me patients I can help. I understand that the “power that made the body heals the body.” The chiropractic adjustment doesn’t treat anything. The goal isn’t to get rid of your health condition. It isn’t even about making you feel better, although all of the above usually gets better when your body is given the chance to get back to the way it was designed. The goal is to remove the nerve interference and allow the body to live up to its optimal potential.

Our clinic chooses to play Christian music in the background. Music can change the mood of a person. I believe it is very important to hear positive and encouraging messages throughout the day.

At our clinic, we focus on five major facets of health. As a chiropractor, the nervous system is my focus. Because we treat our patients as a whole, we also encourage our patients to seek out a strong spiritual relationship, proper nutrition, exercise, and quality sleep.

What MESSY struggles have you overcome along the way?

Showing humility: A great chiropractor can tell a patient when other sources of medical treatment might make for a better form of treatment. I have learned to not be afraid to admit chiropractic might not be the best way to go, and also not be too proud to seek help when I am unsure of something.

Do you have any special MEMORIES you call on when you need to boost your confidence?

As a chiropractor, I am blessed to see miracles every day! One of the most rewarding parts of my job is to hear the remarkable stories of my patients. One of the most important principles I have learned is to not let the negative few override the positive many.

What is your definition of success in your area of expertise?

My definition of success is getting to glorify God by serving my patients. Being a light to others and giving God all the glory is the ultimate success!

“To laugh often, to win the affection of children, to earn the appreciation of honest critics and endure the betrayal of false friends, to appreciate beauty, to find the best in others, to leave the world a bit better, whether by a healthy child, a garden patch…to know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived.

This is to have succeeded!”
