About Me

I was born and raised in Woodbridge, Virginia and left home at 17 to attend West Point. I spent 9 1/2 years as a Transporation Officer in the Army and am a veteran of Operation Iraqi Freedom. After marrying a fellow officer and having our first child while he was deployed, I resigned my commission to become a full-time Mommy and dedicated Army Wife.

My Messy Desk is nothing new, however. I was notorious for it while in the Army. Of course I have read much of the speculation about having a messy desk and I like to think that it truly is a sign of a creative mind.

Somehow, after 5 years, 5 moves and another child, I have become addicted to crafts of all sorts and have a terminal case of “I could do that.” I believe I have been given some talent by the grace of God in this area and have recently started having craft days for some of my friends here in Colorado Springs. I know I am receiving joy from this adventure and hope that I am also bringing joy to the women who come to craft with me.

I have dreams of turning this hobby into a business and I’d like to share my thoughts, creations and inspirations with you. This site will serve as a jumping off point until I can get my full site and blog up and running! I hope you will follow along with me on this journey.

  1. Hello. Your baby’s groomer here. I finally got a moment to read your blog. And all I can say is thank you. Your testimony is amazing and it is so nice to know that our wonderful Lord knows what’s best for us. Even when we kick and scream (not that we would ever do that) the whole way. I hope your week is amazing and I can’t wait to see your next post. :)
