Masterpiece Monday - Good Word Co.

I first discovered these three brothers living the #MASTERPIECE life on my friend Susan B. Mead‘s site and instantly knew I needed to share their story with you!

1) What special skills and abilities has God given you? How did you discover them? How are you using them to serve His creation?

God has given the three of us brothers unique skills and abilities, which we all are using to glorify God and encourage others.

Sean is gifted with the skills and abilities to help people accomplish their goals. Sean has discovered these skills through various projects helping business owners solve problems. Sean is using his skills help operate and manage Good Word Co.!

Connor is gifted with skills and abilities to make things look amazing. He is a professional photographer and graphics designer and discovered these skills through helping friends with projects years ago. Connor is using his skills to create encouraging content for Good Word Co.!

Ryan is gifted with skills and abilities to connect with and communicate with people. Ryan is a sales intern and is in the last year of college! Ryan is using his skills to share the message of Good Word Co. and engage with our audience.

2) How do you ensure that you always give God the glory in your vocation?

Specifically with Good Word Co., the three of us have prayed for over seven years and continue to pray (before every meeting!) for God to lead us in this business. With every shirt we sell, we believe lives will be impacted by encouragement on the shirts. Our hope is not in just the ‘good words’ on the shirts, but the fact that the words are backed by God’s Word.

3) What MESSY struggles have you overcome along the way?

All three of us spent a season of our lives not living fully for Jesus. We got focused on other things in life (ie. sports, school, relationships, etc.) before committing our lives to Jesus fully. We have our mother @lindamomma to thank for always praying for us and encouraging us to commit our lives to walking with Jesus.

5) What is your definition of success in your area of expertise?

Success for us, with Good Word Co., is giving one more child a chance to know God’s Word and one more person a chance to be encouraged through our shirts. We give a portion of our proceeds to help provide opportunities for this to happen. When we think about the future of our business, we don’t see it solely from a financial perspective. We see it also from the perspective of doing our part to spread the Word to all corners of the world!

Sean is the oldest brother, and he is a CPA and works as a financial consultant. Sean loves playing the ukulele and going on solo mission trips. Connor is the middle brother, and he is a photographer and graphics designer. Connor is famous on Instagram and loves making people feel valuable. Ryan, is the youngest brother, and he is a sales intern and is in his last year of college. Ryan loves to encourage, connect with, and spend time with friends and strangers.
